General Practice:

Appointment based consultations with your General Practitioner.

Childhood Immunisations:

We encourage all our families to keep their children fully immunised and to provide the family with immunisation coverage.  The Ministry of Health recommends all children be immunised against various childhood illnesses at 6 weeks, 3 months, 5 months, 15 months and 4 years of age.

Travel Vaccinations and Other Immunisations:

Travel vaccination information is available from our Nurse to help travellers avoid picking up overseas disease.

Other injections prescribed by the Doctor are also given by the Nurse.

Annual Flu Vaccinations:

Annual flu vaccination is the best way to protect yourself from influenza which is a highly infectious disease.

If you are over 65 years of age, or suffer from a long term health condition or are pregnant you are able to receive this Flu Vaccination free.

Drivers Medicals:

Application for a Medical Certificate for Drivers Licence and Eyesight Certificate for Drivers Licence require an appointment with your General Practitoner.

Smears:

Appointments can be made with our Nurse for your Cervical Smear Screening.

All women aged 20 until they turn 70 are eligible to participate in the National Cervical Screening Programme.

Breastscreening:

All women aged 45 - 69 are entitled to free mammograms as part of the National Breast Screening Programme. We encourage women to contact Breastscreening Aotearoa on 0800 270 200.

Minor Surgery:

Dr Ross Ogle has accreditation in Minor Skin Surgery with the Western Bay of Plenty Primary Health Organisation.  He is approved to undertake skin cancer surgery to an Intermediate Level.

Smoking:

We encourage all our patients to be non smokers and support them in their effort to reach this goal.
